Hello! I’ve been teaching at UCLA for nearly a decade and have encountered so many fantastic students. And I absolutely love it when I hear from any of you — for letters of recommendation, advice on applications, or just when one of you informs me how wildly successful you’ve become. (I also don’t mind less stellar news. Life is a journey.)

Anyhow, I occasionally come across news I wish I could share with former and even current students. Such as: job postings, internship offers, conferences, fellowships, local readings, scholarships, and even just cool published writing I think you should maybe read. (Including my own published writing?!)

So this newsletter is going to be a way for me to stay in touch with you. Feel free to sign up, email me separately, stay in touch — or don’t.

I love teaching. I love writing. And I feel like I have more to share than what I’ve been doing previously. As this newsletter develops, please don’t be shy about telling me what else you want or how I can make this better! THANKS!
